The owners of a Henrietta daycare have been arrested after a child was allegedly injured while in their care.

Shannon Johnson, 37, is charged with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Her husband, John Johnson, 40, is facing one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

 The Rochester couple owns Kiddie City Daycare on Thompson Road in Henrietta. They were investigated by multiple agencies, including Child Protective Services and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, after an alleged incident on August 29 in which a child suffered physical injuries while in the care of their business.

Shannon was arrested on October 4 and arraigned in Henrietta Town Court. She was later taken to the Monroe County Jail but was released on $5,000 bail. Her husband John was issued an appearance ticket for a separate incident that ocurred on October 4.

Investigators are now trying to determine whether there are any other victims. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call 911.
