A Pittsford man is facing drunk driving charges after an crash in Mendon early Wednesday that brought down two utility poles and closed an intersection.
The car ended up on top of a guard rail in the area of Rush Lima Road at Monroe Street around 2 a.m.
Deputies charged William Gasser, 40, with DWI.
Honeoye Falls firefighters were called to help free Gasser from his car.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
They said his car struck two utility poles, bringing down wires which caused deputies to shut down the intersection.
National Grid was called to repair the wires so deputies could reopen the road.
