ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Mayor Malik Evans has tested positive for COVID-19, the city of Rochester confirmed.

The city says the mayor, who tested positive on Monday, is asymptomatic.

Evans is working from home and the city says he is following appropriate protocols associated with a positive test result.

Evans is urging residents to continue to follow the Monroe County Health Department guidelines to minimize their own exposure to COVID-19.
