Property taxpayers in Binghamton will see a small decrease in their tax rate next year.
It comes after Mayor Rich David revealed his $97 million budget proposal for 2021 on Tuesday.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the city has saved $2.5 million through furloughs, hiring freezes, and other measures.
Mayor David and city hall managers will not be taking a pay raise next year.
There will be $6.5 million spent on infrastructure improvements and funding will also be used to improve parking downtown, and to remove eyesore homes from city neighborhoods.
