ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Lovely Warren secured a 2nd term as Rochester mayor with a landslide victory. 

Following the bruising campaign leading up to the party primary in September, when she still won handily, Warren cruised in comparison. She received 60.4% of the votes across 215 districts.

Republican Monroe County Legislator Tony Micciche came in second place, receiving 18.4% of the votes. 

"My fellow Democrats, our city and our county are shining bright tonight. I thank you Rochester, for believing in the vision for our city," Warren told her supporters after being re-elected.

Warren's first four years were marked by grand and disputed plans to place a performing arts center downtown where Midtown Plaza once stood and the filling in of a stretch of the Inner Loop. She also faced persistent questions about police accountability, and was looked upon to hold the city together through traumatic times such as the mass shooting outside the Boys and Girls Club on Genesee Street and the fatal shooting of Officer Daryl Pierson.

Warren was sworn in as Rochester's 67th mayor in January 2014.
