Robert Guaderrama is the weekend evening anchor for Spectrum News’ national streaming network, Spectrum News+.

Originally from San Diego, Robert has reported across the country before landing in this role at Spectrum News+. He views the local community as his extended family and feels it's his duty to provide people with trustworthy and unbiased news.

Prior to joining Spectrum News+, Robert was an anchor for Spectrum News 1 in New York State, where he covered major stories like the resignation of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the mass shooting at the Tops grocery store in Buffalo, and an in-depth examination of New York State's response to the opioid epidemic.

Before Spectrum News, Robert served as chief political reporter at his last news station in Orlando, where he led 2020 election coverage. Robert has won two Regional Emmys, two Texas Associated Press awards, and a National Excellence in Journalism Award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

When Robert is not anchoring, you may find him walking in one of our area’s parks with his husband Nico and dog Jessie. He also enjoys staying fit at the gym and eating at local restaurants.
