ST CHARLES, MO — Part of Gutermuth Road will only be open to eastbound traffic starting Aug. 19, according to the St Charles County government in association with Missouri Department of Transportation. The stretch between Old Gutermuth Road and Motherhead Road will be inaccessible to westbound traffic, possibly until 2025.
They recommend those who are traveling west and wish to access the other side of Gutermuth road to go east on highway N to Mid Rivers Mall Dr, take Mid Rivers Mall Dr south to highway 364, merge westbound and exit at Gutermuth Road.
Recently, St Charles County council approved phase III of MODOT’s Gutermuth road project. This part of the project includes plans to repave, widen the lanes, flatten hills, and straighten curves. Additionally, they plan to do some utility work. The project includes plans to add a 14-foot wide multi-use path to the south side of the road and a sidewalk on the north side.
