Applications are now open for the city of Rochester’s Targeted Home Improvement Program.

The program aims to provide assistance to homeowners for critical repairs.

“This program is a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to ensure Rochester residents have access to safe and healthy living conditions,” Rochester Mayor Malik Evans said in a statement. “We encourage all eligible owner-occupants to take advantage of this opportunity.”

To be considered, you have to submit a pre-application to your neighborhood service center by Aug. 26.

Winners will randomly be chosen.

Once chosen, winners have to complete a full program application.

To be eligible, you must be an owner and occupant of a 1-to 4-unit residential property and total household income must not exceed 80%.
