WASHINGTON — After a scary moment on Capitol Hill, Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is back at work today.

The Kentucky lawmaker was seen with a bipartisan group of senators having a photo op with the Italian Prime Minister, who is in town for a meeting at the White House.

The senate minority leader appeared to freeze during a press conference Wednesday. After being escorted away momentarily, McConnell returned. He told reporters that he was “fine” after the incident.

According to one of his aides, McConnell felt light-headed and stepped away for a moment.

The 81-year-old also got a call from President Joe Biden, who checked in on him.
