ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Hundreds of motorcyclists rode from Ontario Beach Park to the 9/11 memorial in Brockport for the Operation Patriot "Let's Roll" 20th Anniversary 9/11 Tribute Ride & Concert.

This tribute ride is called "Let's Roll," because it was a rallying cry of University of Rochester alum Todd Beamer, as those on United Flight 92 fought back to take the airliner from hijackers 20 years ago.

  • This tribute ceremony was not only about the fallen

  • They also supported Concerns of Police Survivors

For Jose Torres of Operation Patriot Foundation, who helped organize this ride, it's a reminder that the Americans who lost their lives that day will never be forgotten.

"We came together in remembering those and all of our friends and family that come together and support this cause,” Torres said. “There's a lot of love to come around."

This tribute ceremony was not only about the fallen.

Patsy's Porkers, a local catering service, owned by former Gates-Chili firefighter Ken Cubiotti, says all of their proceeds from food sales will go to help the Operation Patriot Foundation support the Genesee Valley Concerns of Police Survivors.

It's an issue close to Cubiotti's heart because he lost a dear friend of his that faithful day.

"When the second plane hit, it just blew me away, just like it did everybody else,” Cubiotti recalled. “But then I found out a friend of mine, Lenny Ragaglia, was one of the firefighters that was killed in the south tower. I loved the guy."

Concerns of Police Survivors is an organization that serve first responders injured in the line of duty.

Cubiotti was thankful that so many came out to pay tribute who paid the ultimate sacrifice and support their cause.

"It blows me away,” Cubiotti said. “Are you kidding me? Look at these people. They're generous. They're caring. You couldn't have a better tribute. You really couldn't have a better tribute. These are real people that care."

Looking back, Torres believes the most important takeaway from 9/11 was how it brought the U.S. together.

"We were all Americans,” Torres said. “Undeniably, we were all Americans that day. And there's no way you could walk out from that."
