ROCHESTER, N.Y. — As part of their Pride celebration, Heroes Brewing Company has brewed a beer in honor of the the LGBTQ community. The special edition raspberry sour is called "Ally."
A portion of the sales of the beer will go to Trillium Health and MOCHA, who provides programs, education and support to LGBTQ+ people of color.
"Charity is everything about what our business is for and we believe it's impossible to help others and not help yourself, so this was a logical fit for us and the fact that the Pride Festival is here in our parking lot made logical sense, and let's do one to coincide with that," Heroes Co-Founder Greg Fagen said.
According to the brewery, Ally is an 'alluring reddish pink brew [that] finishes with a tart and distinct raspberry flavor. Straight forward, easy drinking with light body and acidic makes this a perfect summer beer.'
Ally is available in 16oz. 4-packs cans and on tap in the taproom.
