ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Starting Monday, a number of school districts in the Rochester area will loosen their outdoor mask mandate.

Greece, Hilton and Honeoye Falls-Lima School Districts are among the first schools to do away masks during outdoor activities.

These schools no longer require students, staff and employees to wear masks when they are outside on school grounds.

This move follows last week’s announcement by the state in a letter to the CDC that it would not require masking for vaccinated and unvaccinated people outside.

Mask wearing inside schools remains the same.
