ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren is expected to make a virtual court appearance Monday for her criminal case connected to her re-election campaign in 2017.

The mayor, along with co-defendants Rosalind Brooks-Harris and Albert Jones, are each charged with Scheme to Defraud and violating election law. Both are felonies.

Brooks-Harris is the city's finance director and Jones was the campaign treasurer on Warren's last campaign.

All three are accused of coordinating to circumvent campaign contribution limits by funneling donations through a political action committee.

A judge last month denied a request by the mayor's legal team to have the case moved outside the county.

Her case is being heard by a Cayuga County judge.
