ROCHESTER, N.Y. — With dropping hospitalization rates, elective surgeries are returning to area health systems.
University of Rorchester Medical Center tells Spectrum News that it has returned to a full schedule of elective and outpatient surgeries, beginning last week.
The Surgery Center at Sawgrass is back up to full strength with staff and operating as normal. The center had allowed some outpatient surgeries the week before that.
As for COVID-positive patients, URMC says it's treating 116 people. A total of 39 of them are in an ICU.
