ROCHESTER, N.Y. — ​Three local homeless shelters are receiving nearly $13 million in funding from New York State.

East House Corporation will use more than $7 million to build the Canal Street Apartments, which will feature 70 units of supportive housing.

Person Centered Housing Options will use more than $4 million to rehabilitate a building to help chronically homeless people.

And the Veterans Outreach Center is using $2 million to expand Richard’s House.
