ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren's re-election campaign says she has received the Democrats' designation for the election in November.
The campaign says she received more than 62% of the vote from the City Democratic Committee, even as she continues to deal with charges in court of circumventing finance laws during her last campaign.
Right now, Warren is heading towards a Democratic mayoral primary in June with City Councilmember Malik Evans.
Evans said Saturday that he chose not to take part in the designation process, saying he wanted to avoid what he called the "divisiveness" of internal party politics.
