CLARENDON, N.Y. — The AMBER Alert issued for a missing infant in the town of Clarendon has been cancelled after New York State Police say she was recovered safely.
The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of a missing 15-year-old female and her 2-month-old infant in the town of Clarendon on Manning Road around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
After the AMBER Alert was issued, police say the infant was found safe with extended family in Auburn. Police say the infant was left at the residence in Auburn by the runaway parents, Alyssa Bel and Kevin Huntington.
The alert was cancelled around 3:30 p.m.
Bel and Huntington left the residence on foot and are currently missing, according to the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say the infant is now in the care of Orleans County Child and Family Services.
