A University of Rochester lacrosse player was featured on the Today Show Monday thanks to some meaningful words from her past.

Six years ago, when Juliette Dabb was in sixth grade, she participated in a “Dear Future Me” project, writing a letter to herself to be opened in 2020.

Her reaction was captured on camera and now you can see the UR lacrosse player on NBC’s Today Show.

"I'm proud. I'm like, you know...I never would've expected I would kind of get this far. I mean, in sixth grade, that's when I first started playing Club. So, that's when I started to get really serious about it. But, now that I'm playing at what was my dream school for the past few years, it's just kind of like... I'm proud of myself. I'm honored to represent such a great university and a great lacrosse program," Dabb said.
