A gym in Ontario has lost its Certificate of Occupancy after violating Governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive order.

The executive order calls for gyms to remain closed until it is safe to open during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ontario’s town supervisor says that Fitness 24-7 on Ridge Road tried to reopen multiple times during the pandemic against state mandates.

On June 16, the gym’s owner received a notice of violation and was ordered to cease operations. He was then given the same order on June 23.

Because the owner did not comply with those notices, the gym’s Certificate of Occupancy was revoked.

If the owner wants to get the certificate back, he will have to reapply.
