The City of Rochester has begun cleanup efforts today after last night's riots and lootings.

City firefighters and private contractors started assessing damage, securing buildings and removing trash.

Over 2,000 volunteers met at the Frontier Field VIP Parking lot at 10 a.m. and were given garbage bags, PPE and other cleaning supplies to clean up areas most in need.

"This is our city. And whether we want agitators to start something and leave, we will hold everyone accountable for what they do, the ones who started it or the ones who participated in it, but I guarantee that this community will finish it. We will not tolerate this unrest in our community," Mayor Lovely Warren says.

Mayor Warren also says that the curfew from last night will remain in effect tonight, starting at 9 p.m. and continuing until 7 a.m. tomorrow.
