Just one year after Harper Stantz's death, Horace Mann Elementary School is honoring her life.

Students at Horace Mann created "Harper's Library," thanks to more than 1,800 donated books. The entire district worked together to gather the books.

Students and staff wore yellow, which was Harper's favorite color.

"Everybody wearing yellow, she'd probably be doing flips she'd be so excited just to see all this attention and so much generosity that's been outpoured towards Harper. It's nice that the kids are able to enjoy some of her spirit and energy," said Harper's father Marty Stantz.

Each classroom in the school received a case of books. Students in Kindergarten through second grade will receive a book to take home.
