AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas at Austin is preparing to welcome back new and returning students to campus for the school year.

- There are 14 on-campus residence halls
- Mooov-In marks start of Longhorn Welcome
With 7,400 students moving into the 14 on-campus residence halls, Mooov-In will mark the start of Longhorn Welcome. While most incoming on-campus residents are from Texas, other students are traveling to Austin from 43 states and 39 countries from around the world.
People should expect an increased volume of traffic and congestion in the area.

EVENT BACKGROUND:
Mooov-In is designed to help students feel welcome as they get settled into their personal living space on campus. More than 5,500 first-year students will call the Forty Acres home this year. Mooov-In is the first of 12 events that make up Longhorn Welcome. The events are hosted by a variety of campus partners and continue through September 8.
