Water levels on Lake Ontario continue to drop, but the International Lake Ontario-Saint Lawrence River Board is maintaining record outflows to help with flood-ravaged areas along the shoreline.

The board will continue the current rate until the lake drops by another foot which it says might not happen until mid-August.

That's still above the normal safe navigation flow rate for ships on the St. Lawrence River.

Board members said they're trying to lower the lake levels as much as possible before winter.
