A person has died from a drowning over the weekend in the town of Santa Clara.

State Police say 31-year-old Robert Call was tubing behind a watercraft when he went into the water on Upper Saranac Lake. When the watercraft returned to get Call and provide a flotation device to him, he became unresponsive.

He was pulled from the water and administered life-saving measures but never regained consciousness.

Police say there were no signs of foul play and the incident remains under investigation.
