The Little Speed Shop is hosting their monthly "Coffee and Cars" event Saturday.

The family-owned and local automotive shop started the event eight years ago as a place for car enthusiasts to gather.

Besides the coffee and cars, there will be food trucks to keep those engines running.

The cars will range from Ferraris and racecars to BMW minivans.

The owners said they love the community the event fosters.

“It’s kind of a cool, new car show trend that came out years ago, so we started doing that,” said Jill VanValkenburgh, the shop’s owner. “We like to get together in the morning, wake everyone up nice and early, and start the weekend off right with getting together with your car buddies. And being able to share some coffee and be able to talk about cars.”

The event is free and open to the public, and runs from 8-10 a.m. behind their shop on Emerson Street.
