An overnight crash on Plank Road has closed the road between Shoecraft and Jackson roads.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office said the 19-year-old driver fell asleep behind the wheel before leaving the road and striking a utility pole. The driver was not injured and deputies said speed, alcohol, and drugs were not factors.

Plank Road is closed while Frontier fixes the wires.
