The Rochester man accused of driving drunk when he crashed into a sound barrier in Henrietta accepted a plea deal on Tuesday.

Jordin Campbell was charged with vehicular homicide after crashing into a highway barrier along I-390, killing Anthony Mykins, 22, and injuring two others.

He pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide in court on Tuesday. As part of accepting the plea deal, nine other charges against Campbell have been dropped.

Prosecutors say Campbell's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit at the time of the crash.

"This obviously had a significant emotional toll on everyone involved and I think there's a certain point in wanting to closure to all of the families involved here and to not put everyone through the stress that would be involved in a trial," Defense Attorney Emliy Fusco said. "So Jordin made the decision that he wanted to take responsibility and give that closure to not only his family, but the other families involved."

Campbell faces 6-18 years in prison. He will remain out of custody until sentencing which is scheduled for July 31.
