A grand jury has heard evidence and taken action in the case of a man accused of killing his elderly aunt.
Frederick Bohn appeared in Irondequoit Town Court on Wednesday.
He previously pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Ingebord Morley. The 86-year-old woman died inside her home in March – a death police initially called "suspicious."
Police say officers found Bohn in possession of Morley's belongings on March 24, 2019. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, then later charged with murder.
"All I know currently is that he's been indicted on at least one felony," said defense attorney Rhian Jones. "I don't know exactly what he's been indicted on. I'm not entitled to know at this stage, I'll find out at the arraignment."
"I don't know that there will be other crimes charged but certainly I think that there was some exploitation in her case and that may come out as this case proceeds," prosecutor Monica O'Brien added.
The grand jury's decision will become public by the end of the week. The case against Bohn will next move to either Supreme or County Court.
