The Patriots and Rams aren't the only teams getting ready for the big game on Super Bowl Sunday.
Mark’s Pizzeria in Fairport expects to make over 500 pizzas in the short two hours before the game.
“Two days we’re prepping, all the meats, all the vegetables," President Mark Crane said. "You work the whole weekend to get to it and in two hours it’s over.”
With $250,000 business between all their stores, it’s their biggest day of the year next to Halloween.
“The ovens can pump them out pretty fast, and the kids work hard at it.” Crane said.
It’s training manager Chris Bourque’s tenth Super Bowl.
“It’s a crazy day, it is a crazy day. But I’ve gotten used to it. It’s a lot of fun," Bourque said. "All the employees work today, it’s kind of a good team-building day actually.”
He says like the football players on the field, the success of the day comes down to one thing.
“Everyone comes together as a team and works together to get through it," Bourque said. "It gets hectic, but a lot of the employees here enjoy it because you’re in it together, know what I mean?
And for Crane, it’s just as enjoyable as the big game.
“It’s fun to watch the shops run, it’s fun to watch the kids all work together," Crane said. "It’s fun to watch the system work.”
