Several fire departments were kept busy Saturday night at a house fire in the town of Greece.

Barnard firefighters were called just before 10:30 p.m. for the report of five people trapped inside the burning home on Stone Road. Crews had to call on three other departments for help battling heavy smoke coming from the second floor.

They say despite the fire there was a positive outcome.

"We were thankful that as we pulled up they were exiting the structure and they were able to give us an accuarte report that everone was accounted for," said Barnard Fire Chief John Nolan.

Nolan says crews were able to quickly knock down a fire in the upstairs bedroom.

No one was hurt.

The Red Cross is now assisting the family.
