The first major storm of the season is keeping snow removal contractors busy. One married couple is utilizing an app to help residents in need of snow plowing.
With feet, not inches, of snow on the ground, plowing is requiring endurance and will-power that Chris Burch and his wife Alison Nash say they have.
They are the owners of Nash Lawn & Plow located in Henrietta, where they live. With the need to help others in the area, they are using resources such as the “PLOWZ & MOWZ” app to help Henrietta area residents this winter.
The app is free and once you download it you can type in your address, explain how many cars fit on your driveway, and describe how much snow is covering it.
The app will show you the price, plus you can cancel the request at any time.
On Sunday, the pair was able to clear over 60 driveways. Burch says it takes roughly five minutes for each job.
