Less than 48 hours after dozens of firearms were stolen from a gun shop in Parma, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office announced an arrest in the case.
Deputies say 21-year-old Dakota Sarfaty of Hilton robbed Chinappi's Firearms and Supplies around 5:30 Thursday morning.
He's been charged with grand larceny, burglary and criminal mischief.
Monroe County Sheriff Todd Baxter says SWAT teams executed four search warrants, searching for the weapons taken from the gun shop.
They say with how many guns that were taken, as well as how fast they were moved, authorities believe other people are involved.
Chinappi's was also robbed over the weekend, though investigators say it's unclear if Sarfaty was involved.
Over the past week, up to 50 guns were stolen from the store, which has been burglarized seven times since 2007.
Baxter says they removed hundreds of firearms from the shop overnight.
The store has been issued an order to cease and desist selling guns.
The sheriff's office confirmed with Spectrum News that Sarfaty was charged earlier this year with criminal possession of stolen property for allegedly stealing a trailer from family-owned Hushard's RV Center in Hilton.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call ATF at 1-888-ATF-GUNS or the Sheriff's Office at 911.
