IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — Irondequoit police are searching for a driver they say struck and killed a female pedestrian on North Goodman Street Sunday morning.

It happened near the intersection of Baker Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Police shut down a stretch of the busy road between Reynolds and Dix Streets most of Sunday morning for the investigation.

At the scene, officers laid out more than a dozen evidence markers that spanned across the south bound lanes of North Goodman St.

Monday, police identified the victim as 35-year-old Nancy Lopez-Cruz of Irondequoit.
