SHALLOTTE, N.C. -- Another new brewery is headed to southeastern North Carolina.
Red Hare Brewing Company recently announced plans to open a second location in Shallotte.
The company is originally based just outside of Atlanta.
Officials say the brewery will primarily focus on barrel aging and open fermentation.
The brewery will be located in the former Coastal Drug Company building along the Shallotte River.
They hope to open later this year.
