GREECE, N.Y. -- The Greece man who stabbed his long-time girlfriend in the chest, neck, side and back was sentenced Friday.
Robert Brooks, 35, was ordered to spend the next 12 years in state prison along with four year post release supervision. Brooks previously pleaded guilty to First Degree Assault for the attack which left Diana Rivera with severe wounds.
Prosecutors say on April 18th two good Samaritans witnessed Brooks stabbing Rivera on Woodhill Drive. The witnesses confronted Brooks who then fled. Rivera continues to recover from her wounds.
