Prominent defense attorney John Parrinello has been reinstated to return to practice in state court.

Parrinello had been out of law after being suspended in state and federal court. He was reinstated Wednesday and is now allowed to practice in state court effective immediately. Parrinello has also filed an application to be reinstated in federal court.

The 180-day suspension was issued for unprofessional conduct in August following a confrontation between Parinello and a prosecutor. During his suspension, John's son Matt had been handling his caseload.

"I am looking forward to returning to the full practice of law before both the state and federal courts with the same vigor and dedication in keeping with the rules governing professionalism and ethics," said Parrinello in a statement.
