ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The driver of a tow truck was able to escape his vehicle after it caught fire early Sunday morning in downtown Rochester.
Police say the truck was towing a car down Main Street, near the intersection of State Street, when it caught fire. The Rochester Fire Department was called to put it out. Police say it appears some sort of electrical malfunction led to the fire.
The driver was not injured. A Department of Transportation pole at the intersection was damaged by the flames.
