BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A Binghamton man is in jail in connection with a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.
Police responded to the area of Robinson Street and Whitney Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.
They found a 20-year-old man with a stab wound to his stomach. He was taken to the hospital where he's being treated for his injuries.
Police arrested 19-year-old Darren Webster near the scene.
Officials say Webster is currently on parole. And according to witnesses, it appears the two men knew each other.
He's charged with first-degree assault and is being held in city lock-up until an arraignment date is set.
