ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- There was more testimony Friday in the trial of the Rochester man accused of killing another man inside the former Gates Pub. That shootout last April injured six others.
David Alligood is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Ricky Jones.
Two women who were at the Gates Pub when the fatal shooting happened shared tearful testimony in court Friday.
Jurors saw pub security video and cell phone video taken before, during and after the eleven rounds were fired. Kaitlyn Barry testified Friday that she was a bartender at the former Gates Pub. She said Ricky Jones was a regular there. She cried as she looked at crime scene photos and identified Jones' body on the bar floor. She said she heard 10-12 gun shots that morning and immediately ducked for cover.
Another witness testified she was also at the pub with friends that night. She cried on the stand as she testified and watched cell phone video of herself and others that a friend recorded in the pub when the shots rang out.
David Alligood is accused of fatally shooting Ricky Jones during an argument April 25, 2015 at the Gates Pub. Six other people were injured; some of them shot. Authorities said Ricky Jones was also armed that night and allegedly fired back.
The defense says Alligood did not kill Jones. Prosecutors say they have many more witnesses to call. Testimony will continue next week.
