ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Republican State Senator Rich Funke will likely face a Democratic challenger in this year's general election.
Steve Glickman announced his candidacy Tuesday for the 55th State Senate District. Glickman made the announcement at I-Square in Irondequoit.
A native of Western New York, Glickman earned a bachelor's degree in government and politics and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Maryland. Glickman says he's raised approximately $25,000 in private donations.
Funke was first elected to the Senate in 2014.
