Police have arrested four people for allegedly counterfeiting credit cards using them to steal from stores across Onondaga County.

Investigators say the suspects were from New York City operating out of the Mattydale Red Carpet Inn.

The group used a laptop, card making software, encoding devices and an embossing machine at the hotel.

Suspects then bought gift cards with the phony credit cards at local Tops Market stores.

All four suspects are facing various forgery and conspiracy charges.
