ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Red Cross is assisting four people with temporary housing after a fire at a home in Rochester.

Four people were able to get out of a home on Hawley Street around 5:30 Sunday morning after smelling smoke. One was taken to the hospital as a precaution for chest pains.

When Rochester firefighters arrived, they found fire in the walls and the ceiling between the attic and the bedroom of the home. Firefighters were able to contain the damage to one room. RG&E was called to the scene to shut off the power.

The cause is under investigation, however, firefighters believe it may be electrical.
