ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- It all started with a dispute over a used car.

"My brother was shot down in broad daylight 29 days after his 29th birthday by a man who didn't even know his name. He called him 'the car man' and it was over a bill of sale," said Valencia Metcalf, victim Alvin Metcalf Jr.'s sister.

For a second time Metcalf, Jr.'s family packed into a Monroe County courtroom to see their loved one's killer be sentenced on Wednesday.

"I don't know how I feel. I'm still angry, but may God rest his soul," said Valencia.

Rasheen 'Willie' Bell was sentenced 25 years to life for the second degree murder of Metcalf Jr. He was also sentenced 10 to 20 years for conspiracy in the second degree. While behind bars, Bell tried to hire someone to kill his then girlfriend who witnessed the shooting.

"These types of cases always leave you with a bittersweet sense of victory," Brian Green, a Monroe County assistant district attorney said.

On April 30, 2014, 'Willie' Bell went to Metcalf Jr.'s used car lot on Lyell Avenue and shot him multiple times in the back because Metcalf Jr. wouldn't replace a receipt Bell had lost. Metcalf Jr. died on his way to Strong Hospital.

During the trial, video evidence showed the entire shooting unfold. Bell's attorney said the person in the video is not his client.

"You could never see his face, or identify him fully," said Paul Vacca, Bell's defense attorney.

The plan is to file an appeal on Monday for a reversal on the conviction. Bell addressed Metcalf Jr.'s family in court saying his heart goes out to them, and he apologized for what happened. But, he also continues to claim he's innocent.

"That's bogus," Valencia said. "He did it broad daylight on a main street and he still, as you saw today, has no remorse."

But, Valencia said it's time to forgive and focus on the four children Alvin left behind.

"We've got to come together as a family and make sure these four children will not allow this hurt to take them to a negative path," Valencia said.

There is a fundraising page set up for Metcalf Jr.'s children. Donations are also being taken at Citizens Bank under ‘Children of Alvin Metcalf.’ Bell has also been ordered to pay more than $6,000 in restitution to help Metcalf Jr.'s family with attorney fees and funeral expenses.
