EAST SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Churches weren’t the only places packed on Easter Sunday.

Restaurants across the region spent the weekend preparing for the holiday brunch rush.

We checked out 'Justin's Grill' in East Syracuse Sunday as they served up lots of tasty dishes.

The restaurant started serving a buffet brunch on Easter about five years ago, and it has proven to be very popular.

They have an omelete and carving station as well as a buffet with hot and cold items.

Many said going out with the family just makes for a more relaxing holiday.

"It's kind of a nice event for everyone, they come in and they enjoy their family, they eat at their leisure and they celebrate the holidays with us," said Bob Diruzzo, Justin's Grill Managing Partner

"You can enjoy you don't have to do the work at home or clean up and spend time during the day doing things you want to do with the family," said Tom Cammuso, Syracuse resident.

The restaurant was sold out for brunch, having more than a thousand reservations.
