ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Work continues on a fully-enclosed rooftop event space and lounge on top of The Strathallan on East Avenue in Rochester.
Construction began in January on the 3,300 square foot event space, which will hold more than 200 people and feature an outdoor deck with a fire pit. The rooftop will feature a sunken bar and lounge named Hattie's, after the original rooftop bar at the Strathallan.
This project ties in with the recent remodeling at the Strathallan by developers Bob Morgan and Dave Christa.
"This is gonna be the icing on the cake of what they have done so far," said Paul Walters, director of sales and marketing. "The East End area has just taken off and it's vibrant and it's a growing part of the city and we're happy to be part of that process and happy to be bringing this to the community."
The new space is set to open in June.
