BETHANY, N.Y. -- A serious accident in Genesee County has turned fatal. The Sheriff's office said Alyson Krzanak, 18, of Pembroke has died from her injuries.
Four others were injured in the crash. It happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday on Route 20 in Bethany.
Sheriff's deputies said the car failed to yield the right away at the stop sign at Route 20 and Molasses Hill Road when it was hit by a tractor trailer.
The Genesee County Sheriff's office said Krzanak, Brandon Danser, 21, of Batavia and Jamie Scherer, 21, of Pembroke were airlifted to URMC where they remain in guarded condition.
Felicia Fazzio, 20, of Darien was hospitalized in stable condition, and Hannah Dibble, 21, who deputies said was driving the car, was treated and released from the hospital.
Deputies said the driver of the truck was uninjured, and another woman inside the car was also not hurt.
