A former local reporter is again exploring a run for public office.

Rachel Barnhart was at the Democrat's designating meeting for the 21st County Legislature District. She laid out why they should back her for the seat.

Barnhart has previously run for Congress, Rochester mayor, and state assembly, but lost all three elections.

Barnhart's not the only one interested in the 21st district, either.

Victor Sanchez is a local college graduate and currently works for Wegmans Development Group.

He too is looking for the backing of Democrats in the district.
