There was a memorable pet rescue at Letchworth State Park on Sunday.
Troopers say they responded to the park around 5 p.m. for a dog who plummeted into a gorge.
A three-year-old black lab named Achilles fell about 150 to 200 feet in the gorge.
State police say the Genesee High Angle Rope Rescue Team and many others went over the gorge wall to rescue the pup.
They say Achilles was returned to the owner and taken to an emergency vet for a broken rear leg and other minor injuries.
