ROCHESTER, N.Y. — He will always be the Accordion Man.
Some may have seen and heard him around Rochester, singing and playing at the ballpark, or parade, or even a parking ramp.
The family of Walter Pomar says he died peacefully Tuesday morning.
The music he played seated next to an open accordion case, filled the halls of the Blue Cross Arena, and the streets of festivals for generations.
Pomar became as synonymous with Rochester as a garbage plate or a Genesee Cream Ale.
