A Rochester personal trainer is making waves and making workouts more accessible.
Janna Sirianni is a deaf personal trainer who works at some of the local YMCA’s. She uses sign language to help teach her classes, and started a weekly class catered to the deaf community.
"A lot of deaf people are working and surrounded by hearing people all day. But they may not be communicating effectively with, so it's nice to have a group that they can work out together and feel good about being able to communicate with everyone else that's in the group,” said Siranni.
Sirianni says everyone, including those who are not deaf, are welcome to attend her classes.
